Participants of the ECA Club Management Programme (CMP) gathered in Vienna on 15-16 January for a session dedicated to the topic of ‘Club Operations’.

The fifth session of ECA's executive education programme was held at FK Austria Wien’s Generali Arena.

The first day of the session was kicked off by the host club with an in-depth analysis of its stadium operations and business practices. Furthermore, a case study from FC Bayern München was also presented on the digitalisation of the Allianz Arena, giving participants an insight into how the use of technology can enhance the stadium experience.

The second day of the session was designed in order to assist participants in better understanding the legal, financial and HR challenges that clubs can face on a day-to-day basis. Participants were addressed by experts in the areas from ECA Members, FC Barcelona and AZ Alkmaar.

The next ECA CMP session will be on Sport & Innovation, to be held in Beijing, China in March, with the aim of looking at how European football clubs can learn from the Asian sports market.
