At the European Club Association (ECA), we believe in the power of football to inspire positive change on and off the pitch. We are thrilled to announce the launch of the inaugural ECA Sustainability Strategy, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards a more sustainable future for European football.
Governance
We focus on optimising sustainable risk management within football clubs, ensuring long-term success, financial stability, reputation, and community engagement. We provide tools and training to maximise accountability and transparency, embedding sustainability into daily operations and communication.
Environmental
Embracing circular economy principles, we minimise waste and maximise product life cycles in football operations. We advocate for environmental preservation and leverage sport to address climate change. We ensure event sustainability and collaborate to maximise sustainable infrastructure.
Social
We combat racial discrimination and promote inclusivity through education and policy reforms. We prioritise safeguarding children, promote equality and inclusion, and champion inclusive football. We support refugee integration, safeguard health and well-being, and advocate for dignity and equal rights.
