
The ECA Awards were first introduced in 2010 with the aim of rewarding outstanding club performances, encouraging best practice and highlighting successful club management. The winners of the ECA Awards are announced every year at the occasion of the September ECA General Assembly.
The ECA Awards consist of four different categories:

EUROPEAN CLUB
OF THE YEAR
The European Club of the Year Award is awarded to a member club, which has achieved outstanding results during a given season on European level but also in domestic competitions.

BEST SPORTING PROGRESS

WOMEN'S CLUB FOOTBALL
In 2017, the Women's Club Football Award was introduced, replacing the Best Achievement (Non-Sporting) Award. The award is dedicated to achievements in women's club football, recognising clubs that achieve outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of the women's game.
