The first country visit of 2014, during which European Social Dialogue partners ECA, EPFL, FIFPro and UEFA guide their national Members towards the full implementation of the professional Football contract minimum requirements, took place in Prague, Czech Republic, on the 30th of January.
The meeting proved to be extremely constructive and efficient, whereby all domestic partners agreed to create a standard (civil) contract, including all minimum requirements, by January 2015. The present representatives of the Czech players' union, FA, league and clubs agreed that the current structural and legal framework does not allow for a smooth implementation of employment contracts. However, the parties expressed their intention to look into such implementation on the long run, provided that the financial effect for clubs and players could be limited.
Social Dialogue country visits will continue throughout the year.
