Today, ECA 1st Vice-Chairman, Umberto Gandini, and ECA General Secretary, Michele Centenaro, took part in a roundtable discussion at the LIUC University Carlo Cattaneo in Castellanza (Italy), where the recently published ECA Study on the Transfer System in Europe was further presented and discussed in front of an audience of over 200 people.

The roundtable discussions, which notably featured UEFA Director of Competitions, Giorgio Marchetti, FIGC President, Giancarlo Abete, and Juventus CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, were preceded by the detailed presentation of the ECA Study on the Transfer System in Europe by Ernesto Paolillo (LIUC) and Emanuele Grasso (PwC). The Study, which offers an in-depth overview of all the incoming and outgoing transfer transactions involving European clubs over a two-year period, was carried out PwC and LIUC University and was first published at the occasion of the 12th ECA General Assembly in March in Barcelona.

In addition to the transfer study, topics such as the education and development of young footballers, as well as the current status of Italian football both at elite and at grassroots level were touched upon and ensured lively discussions among the participants and the passionate students of the LIUC University Carlo Cattaneo.
