Miscellaneous

Representatives of both ECA administration and member clubs from Croatia, Serbia, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine attended the first of three Social Dialogue information meetings organised at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. These information sessions are aimed at informing all national stakeholders (clubs, leagues, players' unions and federations) in specific European countries about the EU Autonomous Agreement. This Autonomous Agreement is a document containing so-called "professional football contract minimum requirements", being clauses which should be included in the contract of every professional football player in Europe. It was signed by UEFA, ECA, EPFL and FIFPro Division Europe in April 2012.

Participants were welcomed by UEFA President Michel Platini, after which an overview was given of the history, key points and implementation of the Autonomous Agreement. The biggest issues in each participating country were raised and the existing social dialogue model in France was presented. In addition, the participants engaged in an often dynamic Q&A session.

All present stakeholders were in agreement that the information meeting was both useful and interesting.

The next kick-off meeting is scheduled on the 26th of February.
