Tomorrow, more than 50 delegates from ECA Member Clubs will descend on the German city of Leipzig for the third Youth Football Knowledge Exchange session of the season, this time with a focus on new technologies applied to youth football. The event comes hot on the heels of the latest ECA Youth Football research publication “The 12 Quality Areas – Essential Guidance for the Development of Youth Academies”.

German ECA Member Club RB Leipzig is opening its doors to both its stadium, the Red Bull Arena, and the RB Leipzig academy centre, as hosts of the two-day event.

The event will be attended by academy directors and club experts from across Europe, all keen to discuss the various new technologies being applied in youth academies in the process of developing young talent.

Over the course of the two days delegates will participate in six presentations, including one from event hosts RB Leipzig, a club renowned for developing young footballers. There will also be presentations from AFC Ajax and SL Benfica, UEFA Youth League winner, focusing on the best technological practices for their respective youth academies, as well as presentations from experts from the innovation industry including Skills Lab, Brainsfirst and Statsbomb.
