These numbers underline how football clubs of all sizes from across Europe are coming together to strengthen their collective voice to shape the game.

What to Expect in Rome?

The General Assembly is ECA’s flagship annual event a forum where Europe’s leading clubs come together to debate, decide and connect. Over the course of three days, senior executives and club owners will come together to talk abou the big issues in football today — sharing ideas, discussing challenges and deciding what’s best for the future of the game.

This year’s agenda is packed with standout moments. On Wednesday 8 October, the Football Leaders Forum will take centre stage, featuring high-profile names from the world of business and sport taking part in fireside chats, panels and Q&A sessions covering the latest developments in the game, and the evolution of football. Keep an eye out for the stellar lineup of special guest speakers.

The all-important Plenary Session will take place on Thursday 9 October, the central moment of the event where all the Member Clubs comes together in one room.

This is when ECA’s leaders speak directly to the clubs — looking back at what’s been achieved, looking ahead to the new season and making big decisions that affect the game.

What Happened at the Last GA?

Athens set the tone in 2024 with a landmark General Assembly that reinforced the unity and strength of our membership.

From the renewal of our strategic partnership with UEFA, to a landmark agreement with Harvard Business School Executive Education and the launch of the ECA Foundation’s Emergency Fund supporting Greek communities, last year marked a defining moment in our journey.

Rome now offers the next step a perfect chance for our  clubs to come together in even greater numbers to share insights, build consensus and lead the future of European football.
