The European Club Association organised its second Regional Meeting of 2013 in Belfast on the 9th of April. Seven ECA Member Clubs from Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, as well as two observer clubs from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland were welcomed by Linfield FC at their home ground "Windsor Park".
In Hafnarfjörður, 37 representatives from 28 clubs including 24 ECA Member Clubs attended the two day Regional Meeting which concluded today. Participants included clubs from Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden as well as representatives from the Danish, Norwegian and Icelandic Leagues.
Topics discussed at both Regional Meetings included supranational competitions, the future format of European club competitions for 2015-18 as well as the recent EU Study on the Economic and Legal Aspects of Transfers of Players. The ECA Administration also took the opportunity to update and inform the participants about several new ECA services offered and to gather feedback on ECA.
