ECA has today launched its latest Fan Research Report - ‘Engaging the younger generation of football fans’.

This report is the second in the series of the ‘Future of Fandom’ research programme on modern fandom.  It shines a light on the shifts in football consumption patterns by the younger generation in a world where media and entertainment, and technology offer access to live content, on-the-go 24/7.

The report takes an in-depth view on what younger fans think and expect from football, what motivates their fandom and how they want to be engaged and, importantly, the opportunities that this generation presents to European clubs to grow their fan bases.

It also takes a detailed look at the behaviour and main drivers in two emerging football markets, the US and China, to understand the key differences to Europe, and highlights the opportunities and potential growth areas for clubs.

This second report is part of ECA’s ‘always on’ approach to research, continually tracking and monitoring trends across European fans enabling us to share valuable insights on a quarterly basis.
