With two months to go, anticipation is building ahead of the 32nd ECA General Assembly, taking place from 7–9 October 2025 in Rome, Italy – bringing the heart of European club football to one of the sport’s most iconic cities.

With registration already 50% higher than this time last year, this year’s edition is shaping up to be our most attended General Assembly to date – a reflection of the growing momentum behind our work and the increasing commitment of clubs to shaping the future of the game together.

Bringing European Football Clubs Together

Held once a year, our General Assembly is the flagship moment in ECA’s calendar – where club football’s senior leaders come together to share ideas, discuss current challenges and explore opportunities to drive the game forward.

The ECA General Assembly brings clubs together in dedicated sub-division groups to debate key topics and vote on a wide range of issues shaping the modern game. It’s a forum where decisions are made collectively, lifting individual club voices which drives and leads meaningful change.

What Happened at the Last General Assembly?

Athens offered the perfect setting for what turned out to be a milestone moment in ECA’s journey. For three days in the Greek capital, we welcomed hundreds of club leaders for discussions, workshops and moments that highlighted the strength and unity of our membership.

We shared key announcements such as our extended relationship with UEFA, launched new partnerships such as our work with Harvard Business School Executive Education and heard from inspiring voices inside and outside football.
