European Club Association (ECA) is launching a new initiative designed to unite clubs across Europe - the ECA Club Connect. The first edition of this yearly event tailored for club directors and operational leaders will be held in Madrid on 24-25 April 2024 at the Meliá Castilla Hotel in Madrid.

As pioneers in fostering thought leadership and sharing crucial insights, the ECA Club Connect is meticulously curated to benefit all clubs within our extensive ECA Family, encompassing over 500 clubs

Jérémy Cottino ECA Membership Project Leader, said: “This all-club event is the first of its kind for the ECA Family. At ECA, we want to underscore our role as the 'Heart of Football' as we continue to grow and create value for clubs - safeguarding, strengthening, and developing European clubs’ interests.

We see the ECA Club Connect as key to our mission, being a strategic convergence of minds, shaping the future of European club football. We trust participants will find the sessions insightful, engaging, networking-focused and future-oriented.”

This year's inaugural edition will focus on two of ECA’s eight workstreams: ‘Commercial & Innovation’ and ‘Sustainability.’ The event promises networking opportunities, breakout sessions, and insightful keynote speakers, all centered around these two pivotal workstreams.

This exclusive gathering is tailored for fostering valuable networking connections among delegates, offering a platform for meaningful interactions and will kick off in style with the ‘ECA Family Networking Party’ on the evening of Wednesday 24 April 2024.

The brand-new event will then go deeper into ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Commercial & Innovation’ on Thursday 25 April, starting with a power-packed opening keynote address that will ignite inspiration, delivering valuable insight to set the tone for what's ahead.

Attendees will have the opportunity to customise their experience by selecting from technical breakout sessions, each delving deep into the two ECA Workstreams.

Throughout the day, clubs’ representatives will have the opportunity to seize every moment to connect with pairs, share experiences, create new alliances, and broaden their professional network during dedicated networking breaks.

Niclas Carlnén, ECA Sustainability Workstream Lead, said: “Over the last year, ECA has strengthened its commitment to sustainability with a series of initiatives and the ECA Club Connect allows us to update our members on the ECA Sustainability Strategy  and share best practice on how to make sustainability work for the clubs.”
