Biography

Thanks to his extensive experience throughout Europe, Pablo Longoria has a thorough knowledge of European and world football, as well as a highly innovative and international approach.

Starting out as a scout with Newcastle United at the age of 21, he went on to become Recruitment Director at Recreativo de Huelva (2009 - 2010) and then scout at Atalanta Bergamo (2010 - 2013). Pablo Longoria continued his development in Italy, becoming Recruitment Director at US Sassuolo (2013-2015) and then Head of Recruitment at Juventus FC at the age of 29 (2015 - 2018). In 2018, he returned to his homeland as Sports Director of Valencia FC, with whom he won the Spanish Cup and qualified for the Champions League two years running. In 2020, he became General Manager in charge of Football at Olympique de Marseille, then President a few months later, becoming the youngest President in the club's history since 1909.

Pablo Longoria's high standards and expertise, combined with his multilingualism (6 languages), make him the embodiment of the new generation of sports managers. In 2022, he has been appointed to the Board of the French Professional Football League.

Under his presidency, Olympique de Marseille has systematically qualified for the European Cup and achieved two consecutive podium finishes in the league. Sponsorship and ticketing revenues have reached record levels, with the Stade Orange Vélodrome almost always filled to capacity (65,000 fans). Fully aware of the responsibility of an institution such as Olympique de Marseille to its local community, the President is keen to position the club as a socially committed player in the local community.
