Biography
Asif Asgarov has started his career in football since 2004.
After playing a crucial role in different positions in Qarabağ FK, he has reached the level of Board Member and Director for Internal Operations and Foreign Relations of Qarabağ FK step by step through his ambition and hard work within his leadership skills.
Asif Asgarov has been with the team for the last 19 years and has won 10 championships with Qarabağ FK, also playing ten years in a row in UEFA competitions, including the UEFA Champions League Group Stage.
Besides having local achievements, ; he also has previously graduated Economics at Azerbaijan State Oil and İndustry University with an honors diploma. He has also studied several executive education programs at institutions such as Michigan University, Liverpool University and Stockholm Business University and participated in the first edition of the ECA Club Management Programme and played an essential role in the ECA Competition Working Group between 2019-23 cycle.
Asif Asgarov’s role as an ECA Board Member is to play an essential role in developing the world view of the club representatives, sharing experiences, and, most importantly, being aware of the innovation of modern football.
After being elected to the Executive Board of ECA, he became the first Azerbaijani citizen to represent the country in football-related organizations.
