The European Club Association is working in collaboration with UEFA to host the first joint ECA-UEFA Legal Workshop, which is set to take place on 8th & 9th June at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, France. The purpose of the workshop, exclusively organised for ECA Member Clubs, is to present and discuss the latest legal issues in European club football.

Participants of the workshop will be updated on a series of legal and regulatory developments, including the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, FIFA Regulations on the Status & Transfer of Players, and case law of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

As ECA is committed to providing the most relevant and up-to-date information to member clubs, selected legal experts from ECA, UEFA and clubs will give presentations on other relevant issues regarding integrity and regulations in the football industry at this present time. These presentations will ensure that participants are well versed on all relevant legal matters and will give speakers the opportunity to share their opinions on the future direction of European club football.

As the event is exclusive to ECA Member Club representatives, the workshop is designed to be as practical and interactive as possible in order to encourage participants to engage in the conversation. There will be breakout sessions on the topics of commercial contracting and the financing of transfers, as well as a Q&A session with FIFA.

This workshop will provide an essential platform for legal representatives at ECA Member Clubs to further develop their knowledge of legal framework in European club football. Additionally, ECA will continue to work alongside UEFA in order to provide the best service to ECA Member Clubs.
