ECA's Head of Administration Diederik Dewaele spoke at the 3rd Footsolidaire Conference, which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. He participated in a panel entitled "How best to react to the cultural shock of an African player arriving to Europe?" and outlined some general club viewpoints with regard to the integration of young foreign players.

As guest speakers, Footsolidaire was pleased with the presence of several ambassadors, additional football associations as well as a number of NGOs and Directors of Youth Academies in Africa.

Footsolidaire is an association created by former Cameroon international Jean-Claude Mbvoumin and focuses on the problematic situation of young foreign football players who were unsuccessful in their attempt to start a career in Europe. For more information, please visit: www.footsolidaire.org.
