Biography
Wanja Greuel was born 1977 in Germany and grew up in Kaiserslautern. After studying Business Administration in Mannheim and Athens, Greece he moved to Switzerland in 2005. He began his career as sales director with the SC Bern, Europe's biggest hockey club. In 2011 Greuel became Deputy Managing Director of InfrontRingier, the Swiss subsidiary of Infront Sports & Media, one of the biggest sports marketing agencies worldwide.
Always being passionate about football as a sports as well as an industry, Greuel became Commercial Director of Swiss club BSC Young Boys in 2015. In September 2016, Greuel was promoted to become Chief Executive Officer of the club, reaching the highlight of his career accompanying the team becoming Swiss Champion in 2018 for the first time after 32 years without a title.
Greuel also serves as member of the committee of the Swiss Football League as well as member of the council of the Swiss football federation.
