Liverpool-born Peter Moore has returned to the UK after pursuing a professional career of nearly 40 years in the United States. A dual citizen, Moore joined Patrick, the French football boot company, in 1982 as their California sales representative and progressed to be president of the North American subsidiary. He was then recruited by Reebok in Boston to run their global sports marketing division, and in 1996 he signed Liverpool FC to a long-term kit manufacturing agreement. A change of careers to video games saw Moore move back to California to become president of Sega of America, where he launched the Sega Dreamcast, the first online-enabled console. Microsoft then recruited Moore to their Seattle headquarters in 2003 to run the Xbox business, where he helped build the multi-billion-dollar brand on the back of the Xbox 360 and the Xbox Live games service. In his final move in the video game business, he was lured back to the San Francisco Bay Area by Electronic Arts as president of EA Sports, and in 2011 became COO of the company. In June of 2017, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Liverpool FC, returning to the city of his birth. Moore has a Bachelor’s degree from Keele University in England and a Master’s degree from California State University.
