European football stakeholders gather for joint seminar

Thursday, 02 10 2014

Representatives from all European football stakeholders gathered in Amsterdam over the last two days for a seminar organised by the European Social Dialogue Committee.

Hosted by the international trade union for professional football players, FIFPro, in their headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, the meeting focused on National Dispute Resolution Chambers and Disciplinary Procedures between clubs and players.

This initiative forms part of the on-going implementation of minimum requirements for standard player contracts in the UEFA territory, which has already seen a joint stakeholder task force visiting eleven countries over the last 12 months. During these country visits, representatives of ECA, EPFL, FIFPro and UEFA met with the national partners to discuss the best ways of implementing the remaining minimum requirements and other issues related hereto on national level.

Alongside representatives from UEFA, the leagues and the players, several ECA Member Clubs took up the opportunity to attend the two-day seminar allowing for an exchange of thoughts and good practice of National Dispute Resolution Chambers and Disciplinary Procedures at national level across Europe.
