ECA General Secretary Michele Centenaro was on the speakers' list of the EPFL Workshop on Players' Transfer System, which took place in Manchester today.
He participated in a roundtable discussion tackling the current FIFA regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, whereby the main question discussed was whether there is a real need for change in the current transfer system. Other roundtable participants included representatives from FIFA, UEFA, EPFL and FIFPro.

During his intervention, Michele Centenaro shared some thoughts on the future approach regarding players' agents and contractual stability. Moreover, he referred to the survey ECA is currently undertaking amongst its members on the current transfer system.

Michele Centenaro was accompanied by Daniel Lorenz, Legal Director of ECA Member Club FC Porto, who informed the workshop participants on the current players' agents regulations.

Other topics discussed during the workshop included the international transfer market, transfers of minors and third-party ownership.

ECA was also present at the "Football & Law" conference hosted by Brabners Chaffe Street. ECA Legal Services Manager Wouter Lambrecht participated in a legal panel on contractual stability together with Mark Hovell (CAS Arbitrator) and Wil van Megen (FIFPro).
